When a protocol processes $2.4T in volume with zero hacks, people notice. But what they don't always see is the rigorous security process happening behind the scenes to make this a reality. Today, we're pulling back the security curtain on our work with  Uniswap Labs to show what truly comprehensive protocol security looks like — culminating in the largest-ever bounty in history.

 A Model Approach to Security

Uniswap v4 represents more than DeFi innovation — it actually models how security should be executed in public. The Uniswap Labs team has pushed for maximum transparency by building in public and inviting scrutiny through bug bounties and security competitions.

 Our Journey Together

Throughout the past year, we've collaborated with Uniswap Labs to help audit various protocol components. The key to our relationship has been flexibility — we’ve modeled our processes around their unique need to take security to new heights, which, as you might imagine, are in an entirely different echelon due to the impact that the Uniswap Protocol has on the industry as a whole.

We quickly adapted our process to match Uniswap Labs' commitment to rigorous code reviews. The result was two reviews of Uniswap v4, seven reviews of other protocol components, followed by a bounty program and security competition (also the largest in history at $2.35M), one right after the other.

This journey of due diligence and dedication continues with the launch of the  largest bug bounty program — $15.5M for critical findings in v4 core contracts. This history-making figure speaks volumes about their commitment to security.

 Looking Forward

We're proud to support Uniswap Labs as they set new standards for how protocols approach security.
